Ways to Access Therapy
At Unbound and Transformed, we are committed to expanding access to care. Each of our therapists has their own rates and are paneled with different insurances. However, we know that this doesn’t always make therapy accessible. Below is information on ways to afford therapy outside of using insurance in-network benefits.
Grant-Funded Sessions
Second Wind Fund:
12-20 Grant-Funded Sessions
Are you a young person who is struggling with suicidal thoughts or self-harm? Having a hard time finding a therapist who understands the impacts of being trans, GNC, or queer in this world? Tired of shamed for injuring yourself during meltdowns or when stimming?
The Second Wind Fund (SWF) provides 12-20 grant-funded sessions for young people struggling with suicidal thoughts. All providers are experienced in suicide prevention and work to ensure clients' safety. Ari has both professional and personal experience navigating suicidal thoughts and self-harm.

Superbills
Using OON Benefits
Another option for making therapy for accessible is by submitting superbills to your insurance provider. Superbills allow clients to file for out-of-network (OON) benefits. Depending on your plan, this might mean you are reimbursed partially for your therapy session or have what you paid count towards your OON deductible and out-of-pocket max.
Sliding Scale Rate Tiers
We use the Green Bottle Scale to allow those with less financial stability to access care at a discounted rate

* Basic Needs include food, housing, health care, and transportation.
** Expendable Income might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the movies or a concert, buy new clothes, books, and similar items each month, etc.
